Low noise levels are a key feature of the Kappa V Echos series of air-cooled chillers made by Blue Box and available through Axair Climate. Noise issues have been addressed by using generously sized exchanger elements using condensing coils with corrugated fins (which optimise thermal exchange without impacting pressure drops) and dry expansion brazed plate or shell-and-tube evaporators.
