Emap acquires Montgomery share of Interbuild
Published:  June 2004

Emap has acquired the 50% shareholding in Interbuild that was formerly held by Montgomery Exhibitions. Formal ownership starts on 7 July.

Interbuild will become part of Emap Construct, reporting to managing director Graham Harman.

Interbuild is a 109-year-old brand and has staged 50 shows. The next event is in 2006.

Derek Carter, chief executive office of Emap Communications, says, ‘Emap is the largest organiser of business-to-business exhibitions in the UK, with a proven record of delivering successful shows with international influence. Our closeness to market in the construction sector is one of our great strengths. We will use our considerable exhibition experience and market knowledge to secure Interbuild’s future as the largest UK building show.’
