Chris Ingram, chairman of UHMA, told delegates at an extraordinary general meeting to approve the move, ‘This is a momentous day for UHMA. The association has made huge progress in the 14 years since its foundation. We have a healthy and fast-growing membership, and UHMA is widely acknowledged as the prime source of information on all aspects of low-temperature radiant heating and cooling.
‘But our progress has reached the limit of what can be achieved by volunteers, however dedicated. Now UHMA needs a voice in the corridors of power and a voice that will be heard by those who shape the future of Britain’s energy policy. BEAMA can give us that voice.’
