This development by Allied London, which worked in partnership with Manchester City Council, provides 375 000 m2 of commercial, retail, civic, residential and open space in the city-centre business district.
Commtech was commissioning manager at No. 1 Springfield Square — eight storeys offering 17 000 m2 of mixed office and retail space and let to the Royal Bank of Scotland. Three people were on site at any one time.
Commtech was also hands-on commissioning manager for a magistrates’ court and 1 Hardman Boulevard, a 10-storey development providing over 42 000 m2 of air-conditioned and retail space, also let to the Royal Bank of Scotland.
Eight operatives were required at 1 Hardman Boulevard. For the court, Commtech carried out commissioning and managed the process, with a team of six people located permanently on site.
