When Optiflush senses movement in the cloakroom, it activates a flush after a delay preset by the installer. The device also provides a hygiene flush twice a day, a particularly valuable feature in schools where a cloakroom may be unused for six weeks during the summer.
Peter Fuller of Derbyshire County Council says, ‘We installed the mains-powered version of Optiflush and have round it to be very reliable.’
A battery-powered version is also available.
