Called SAV Energy, the concept uses field-proven hardware and software systems in a service tailored for UK application in all types of buildings, from schools and hospitals to office and apartment blocks.
The hardware is easy to apply at the very heart of the system, and the software does not require expensive on-site programming. A modular concept offers every option from simple, stand-alone metering to complete integrated data logging and transmission for remote monitoring.
Lars Fabricius, managing director of SAV, explains, ‘SAV Energy will offer a total service, incorporating monitoring metering and billing functions.
‘It makes a perfect synergy with SAV’s modular solutions for distribution within heating and cooling systems.’
SAV modules break a building-services installation down into self-contained ‘mini systems’, which can also include energy meters and other monitoring equipment to produce localised building-services data in real time and on a daily, weekly, monthly, annual or seasonal basis. That data can be viewed on macro and micro levels.
The service uses software developed by EMT Nordic which can interface easily with a range of Danfoss controls for automatic monitoring and targeting, such as ECL heating-systems controllers and Sonometer energy meters.
This technology enables FloCon modules to be set up to meter energy usage so carbon emissions can be monitored and users billed.
