Paul Hardy, managing director of Baxi Commercial Heating, told over 80 guests that this was the first award of its type to have been received by the Baxi Group and highlighted the group’s ability to bring new products and technologies to the forefront of the market place.
He said, ‘It is an exciting and challenging time for Andrews and the Baxi Group as a whole, and I am confident that the product innovations that are planned, especially in the fields of energy efficiency and low-carbon technology, will ensure that our presence in the market place will continue to grow well into the future.’
He also shared his view that new technologies and forthcoming legislation place greater demands on customers and installers, so that knowledge and understanding are increasingly key to future designs and installations.
‘Training is therefore a major priority, and we have recently created a training academy where installers, consultants and everyone involved in the technical specification of all Baxi Commercial Heating products will be able to attend a course where they will be given an in-depth, hands-on understanding of every aspect of the product and its application,’ explained Paul Hardy.
The extensive new facility has floor-standing and wall-hung direct-fired water heaters from Andrews. They range from non-condensing storage water heaters and compact high-output continuous-flow appliances to the latest condensing storage water heaters — the traditional-style ECOflo and the award-winning MAXxflo stainless-steel, multiple-burner options.
There is a separate theory room for course work, and this room will also be used for CPD courses.
