Wireless switches with a range of up to 300 m from a receiver unit are available from Hayes Control Systems.

Wireless radio switches from Beckhoff that do not need batteries and which can interface with building-management systems are available from Hayes Control Systems.

They are used with a wireless receiver unit than can be up to 300 m from a switch.

Power for the switches is provided by a piezo-electric element. For reliability, signals are transmitted three times.

In addition to on/off signals, the room temperature and set temperature from a solar-powered thermostat can be transferred via transmitter modules using EnOcean technology, which does not limit the maximum number of transmitters per receiver unit. The temperature sensor reports four times an hour and when the temperature changes.
