They use R410A and are designed to maximise the use of free cooling by simultaneously delivering free cooling and mechanical cooling. The free cooling operates with as little as 1 K differential between ambient and return-fluid temperatures.
Available in 20 and 40 kW cooling modules, with a single DX circuit, LogiCool is configured for outside installation. It provides flexible, multi-rack cooling by an individual unit or by a number of units with run/standby and optional sequencing capability.
Energy-saving features include tandem digital scroll compressors combined with AireTronix controls technology and electronic expansion valves to offer fully modulating control.
These units can operate in free-cooling mode most of the time. The ability of LogiCool to self-optimise and the very large surface area of the cooling coils, which lengthens the periods of free cooling so that more than 45% of the energy used by a conventional chiller is saved.
