Hot water for over 200 refurbished Morrisons stores is provide by Lochinvar equipment.

The refurbishment of over 200 Morrisons supermarkets included the installation of water-heating equipment supplied by Lochinvar.

The company worked with Mitton Mechanical Services of Bradford to convert existing Safeway supermarkets into Morrisons stores following the acquisition of the chain at the end of 2004. Conversions were carried out at the rate of four a week.

Equipment was selected from Lochinvar’s comprehensive of direct gas-fired water heaters to provide hot water for hand washing and food-preparation areas, which have been redesigned in line with Morrisons street-scene layout.

The LBF range of room-sealed direct-gas-fired water heaters were particularly popular for this programme.

197 large stores were converted, along with eight megastores and 127 petrol stations.
