Chris Davis, marketing manager with Dimplex, says, ‘There is a clear need for sustainable-energy solutions that not only reduce carbon emissions but also help significantly reduce energy bills for users. Government initiatives such as Clear Skies and now the Low-Carbon-Buildings Programme, which provide grants for heat-pump installations, have also encouraged demand for this type of products.’
Dimplex indicates that these heat pumps have a COP of 4 and 50% lower carbon emissions than gas-fired heating.
There are over 50 models in Dimplex’s range. Many are suitable for single-phase electricity supplies.
Ground-source heat pumps have nominal heating capacities from 5 to 16 kW. Air-source heat pumps have nominal heating capacities from 5 to 28 kW; there are models for installing indoors and outdoors.
