The installation meets all the requirements of this purpose-built and privately owned 120 m2 club, which includes nine showers, 12 hand basins and the kitchen area.
These water heaters are installed in series, without storage, on a secondary return system in a manifold configuration with a fanned balanced flue extending vertically through the roof.
Neil Lyons, the owner of the club, who also designed it, was quite clear of his requirements. ‘I was looking or an electronically controlled system without hot-water storage that provided a single water feed at a preset temperature without mixing valves, to avoid the possibility of scalding.’ He also required a continuous and instant supply of hot water, even at peak times.
