Faced with higher fuel costs adding to the existing annual costs of £24 000 a year, the owners of the 200-year-old Oakley approached Calorex.
The two AW wall-hung heat-recovery units are installed in the boiler room and use the warm air there as the heat source to generate hot water for the conference and banqueting venue and the neighbouring nursing home on the 315-acre estate on the North Hampshire downs.
Mark Vickery, director at Oakley Hall, says, ‘The machines have been working away quietly in the background for a year, and it is easy to forget they are there. They provide ample hot water for both sides of the business, and we are looking at a reduction in fuel bills of 15% on pre-price-hike fuel costs and 30% on latest fuel costs.’
