Vaillant training centres were approved in January and have been oversubscribed for solar-DHW training ever since. The company claims to be the only manufacturer of solar-DHW equipment certified to provide BEPC solar training.
The 3-day course is aimed at candidates with experience or a formal qualification in plumbing and heating. It enables candidates to select, install and commission the most appropriate system and then maintain it.
Colin Hilliard, Vaillant’s training manager in the UK, says, ‘We firmly believe that the “traditional” domestic-heating installer has the necessary skills to deliver these systems to the market, so we will endeavour to offer the training to as many suitable candidates as we can.’
