The Grundfos submission was based on the company’s entire approach to the environment, but emphasising the difference that variable-speed pumps in particular can make. The international Green Apple Awards are run by the Green Organisation, an independent, non-political, non-profit environmental group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world for the last 11 years.
Before winning the international award, Grundfos first won a UK award in the science and technology category, presented by former England cricket captain Allan Lamb in the House of Commons.
