The Kingspan products were selection by insulation sub-contractor Western Thermal, which also installed Kooltherm insulated pipe-support inserts.
Tony Shirt, regional marketing manager with contractor Haden Young, says, ‘Phenolic insulation was used for the pipe and duct work because of its excellent thermal properties, which makes it relatively thin for a given insulation value.
The insulated pipe-support inserts provide continuity of insulation and consistent thickness, so the external diameter of insulated pipe is the same over pipe and bracket.
