An Espace system has two separate lithium batteries with an average operational life of five years to power the control panel. If one battery fails, the other will power the system, and the maintenance contractor can be called immediately to replace the failed battery.
The control panel and devices communicate using TwinBand radio transmission using two frequencies in distinct bands. This protects the system from being jammed, accidentally or deliberately. If jamming is detected, Espace provides a local and remote alert.
