Wireless sensors cut costs

Trend has launched a wireless space-temperature sensor and receiver which are said to provide the lowest-cost solution for most applications. Even on relatively small systems, says Trend, there is a saving of up to 60% to be made using these controllers compared with conventional wired sensors. The TW/S sensor comprises a thermistor sensing element and transmitter in a wall-mounted enclosure. Up to 32 sensors can communicated with a single receiver up to 200 m away, and the receiver is simply connected to a Trend IQ2xx or IQ3xcite Trend building-services controller. |
