To win this international safety award, must have below-average accident rates, good safety policies and safety plans and a commitment to health and safety. They must also provide details of significant advances made in health and safety for the year.
Francis Jarvis (right), a member of Airedale’s health-and-safety committee and a tester of air-conditioning cassettes, received the award from the director general of the British Safety Council. He was accompanied by his wife Carol to the presentation at Grosvenor House in London.
