Compared with a false ceiling of, perhaps, 450 mm depth, the Flexible Space System with a slimline fan tile unit might require floor void just 150 mm deep.
The underfloor void is split into supply- and return-air plena using relocatable, airtight baffles. Chilled or warmed air is supplied by a conditioned-air module (CAM).
The FTUs plug into an underfloor power source and are connected by data cabling for intelligent control. They have local, individual controls to provide variable-speed and adjustable temperature into the space.
Fan tile units are easily interchangeable with floor panels, so that systems can be readily reconfigured to changes in office layout.
