The 14 kW Toshiba SMMS system serves seven areas and operates with six ceiling cassettes in individual offices and a high-wall unit for a reception area.
The building is constructed to Part L standards and is well insulated. The main corridor linking the offices is 75% double glazed and faces south, creating considerable heat gain. However, the offices face north and can require both the cooling and the supplementary heating that the heat-pump system makes available.
This VRF system has twin rotary compressors with dual inverter control and qualifies for Enhanced Capital Allowances.
The ceiling cassettes incorporate louvres that are designed to prevent ceiling staining and improve air distribution. They have wipe-clean, anti-smudge finish.
