Doug Robins, president of BCIA says, ‘Building controls represents a specialised but broad-spectrum discipline, the fundamentals of which need to be understood outside of the building-controls industry. This is being acknowledged by the growing number of contractors and other professional enrolling on the courses.’
The programme was established a little over two years ago. By the end of last year, over 500 course certificates had been awarded, leading to 100 BCIA technical certificates and 13 advanced certificates. Details can be found on the ECA web site.
