By moving from on/off operation to high/low fire, fuel savings of 3 to 5% are expected. The other advantages of natural gas should enable carbon-dioxide emissions to be reduced by about 30%.

Carbon-dioxide savings of around 30% are expected following the conversion of hot-water and central-heating boilers throughout Land Rover’s design and engineering headquarters from oil to natural gas. Following a survey by a Nu-Way engineer, 16 gas burners were specified and installed by Northern Industrial Services of Leeds. |
